Extrusion for Rapid Build Hospital Projects

Last week we were working on our vertical paint line providing aluminium extrusion for thermally broken aluminium windows and doors urgently needed for rapid build hospital and other Covid-19 projects. We had a skeleton crew working on these projects since Monday the 30th of March, having 4000 profiles painted in one shift. Then our thermal break crew took on the next stage and had the material ready for loading on Friday evening the 3rd of April. We had reduced down our operation to the bear minimum to get these and other related works out to try and do our bit to help the current situation, the people who are doing this work are happy to do so and gives them at least some sense of satisfaction knowing they are doing their bit in the effort to fight this pandemic and flatten the curve.

Following on from last week, three rapid build hospitals worth of materials loaded on the Friday evening were delivered to Duggan Systems Ltd and Curran Aluminium & PVC Ltd for first thing Monday morning, the 6th of April. We also delivered material for one hospital to Western Building Systems Ltd earlier on last week. Bearing in mind we only received the final quantities for two of hospitals at 11am on Tuesday morning, the 31st of March, it just goes to show that having total control of extrusion, painting and thermal break gives AMS a great advantage when it comes to speed of service especially in these challenging times. A big thanks to all of the skeleton crew who made this happen, we have another push this week with other projects yet to be ordered, at least our three customers can now get on with their part of the projects.
