Flashings & Sheet Metal Fabrication

AMS has a precision sheet metal fabrication workshop on site, specialising in aluminium fabrication. With over 20 years’ experience in this field we have the dedication and knowledge to cater for all our customers requirements. We pride ourselves in the production of quality fabricated pressings and ensure customers’ needs and delivery times are to the forefront of operation.

Types of sheet metal fabrication services we offer include:

• Pressed aluminium cills:

On most building projects, pressed aluminium cills are the first line of defence against water ingress and weather tightness, we pride ourselves in the production of high quality, accurate cills which are also offered with welded corners, end caps, straps, joint plates to detailed project specifications.

• Insulated glazing panels:

The standard sizes for these are 24mm and 28mm. Other sizes are catered for and subject to availability.

• Window flashings:

These include cill, head and cill flashings with various degrees of bends, folds and welds. It is also possible to have these types of pressings insulated.

• Head cappings:

We can fabricate these up to 4mts long. They also come with joint plates and fixing clips for ease of installation and improved weather tightness.

Finishes and Materials

AMS have a series of state-of-the-art machinery including a TRUMPF TruPunch 3000 series punching machine which enables us to provide an even wider range of precision products. With our inhouse CAD technician we take your drawings and make them a reality.

We stock a wide range of standard RAL colours to suit your specific powder coating requirement. Powder coating is carried out in-house and is 'Qualicoat' approved offering you the comfort of knowing that the finish will withstand the test of time.

• Mirawall is a high quality, pre-painted bendable sheet. It is resistant to cracking and crawling when bent or mechanically formed. Mirawall has excellent "Panel Quality” flatness and enjoys long life which makes it a perfect match for other polyester powder painted aluminium sections. Mirrawall is generally used for insulated panels, flashings, parapets, fascia & soffit. • Decoral The Decoral system is a process of applying effects onto aluminium profiles. Decoral has all the aesthetics and texture of wood and other finishes but has a major advantage in it has none of the associated maintenance costs.
  Available finishes include:
  Mahogany, Golden oak, Dark oak, Natural oak, Teak, Raw teak, Teak softwood, Chestnut, Oregon, Natural Oregon, Yellow Oregon, Oregon pine, Knotty pine, Natural maple, Cinnamon, Stainless Steel and Rust

• Polyester Powder Coatings can help you bring your design to life with our wide choice of paint colours and finishes. We offer a varied range of architectural polyester powder coating finishes, that are guaranteed through the ‘Qualicoat’ approved applicator scheme, of which AMS is a continuing member. All polyester powder coating is carried out in house, on a state-of-the-art vertical or horizontal paint line. Our eight stage, chromate free, pre-treatment process, meets all of the latest environmental legislation and ensures a quality finish and service every time.
