MU800 SG
The MU800 SG Curtain Wall is our flush finished, silicone glazed system offering a minimalist 21mm sight-line. This system also offers a large selection of mullion and transom configurations allowing greater spans and accommodating larger glazed units in addition to our unique bonded casement sash.
MU800 SG, structurally glazed curtain walling is available as part of a range of facade systems offered by AMS. MU800 SG offers a wide range design solutions whilst maintaining flush, external, 21 mm sightline. The MU800 SG is designed around our mullion drained curtain wall system. Glazing units are retained securely into position, on all 4 sides, with purposely designed toggle plates which slot into the glass channels. The system has been rigorously tested at Vinci Technology Centre to all the latest BS, EN and CWCT standards. MU800 SG has the facility of being zone drained with the use of our specialised draining profiles. This offers further design flexibility especially for high-rise applications. MU800 SG is available in a range of mullion / transom combinations offering flexibility in deign while ensuring structural integrity.
MU800 SG has an external 21 mm sight line which contains a flush finish silicone joint. The internal sightline still remains at 55 mm which is a design feature of all our MU800 systems. MU800 SG has the facility to incorporate toggled sash inserts which give a smooth flush finish between inserts and glass units. Furthermore, with our special toggle adapter, the system has the facility to toggle insulated panel units, the toggle adapter attaches to the perimeter of the panel.
All this coupled with our in-house aluminium extrusion facility allows flexibility in design to produce bespoke aluminium profiles systems to suit modern pioneering design. AMS offers high end economical solutions for value added engineering.
The MU800 SG system is suitable for low rise, high rise and sloped glazed applications. It is designed to comply with, and exceed, the latest thermal and structural requirements of the building regulations and is manufactured to exacting standards enabling economy to be combined with strength thus providing many years of aesthetic, sustainable and trouble-free performance.
